Frequently asked
Does DRINKIT sell alcohol?
No. DRINKIT is an information and discovery platform. We publish brand details and indicative state-wise rates, and we list licensed retailers. Every sale is made by the licensed shop, not by DRINKIT.
Why are rates different in each state?
Alcohol is a state subject in India. Each state sets its own excise duty, VAT and licence fees, so the same bottle can cost very differently in Goa and in Karnataka. Our rates follow those state-wise price levels.
Are the rates exact?
They are indicative. State excise departments revise MRP every financial year and sometimes mid-year. Confirm the final price with the shop before you order.
Can I get liquor delivered at home?
Only where the state permits it and only through a licensed partner shop. Select your state to see its current delivery status. In states where delivery is not permitted, shops are listed for counter pickup only.
What about dry states?
We do not list rates, shops or delivery for Gujarat, Bihar, Nagaland, Mizoram or Lakshadweep, where prohibition is in force.
What is the legal drinking age?
It varies from 18 to 25 depending on the state. Select your state and the legal age is shown in the banner. You must meet it to buy alcohol, and the shop will check your ID.
